Before reading the itinerary, maybe you would be interested in knowing how to live New Zealand in a low cost way!

Experiences/activities: our Top 5

1) Trekking on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing
2) Walking between the geysers int the Rotorua area
3) Seeing Hobbiton
4) Exploring the Glowworm caves
5) Seeing the view from Cape Reinga (too bad it was a rainy day…)

If we could change something:

– Arrived in Tongariro, we could have stopped a day longer in the area to try and climb on Taranaki Mountain
– How Water Beach and Cathedral Cove are both really pretty, but we didn’t get to enjoy them enough. We could have either cut them from the itinerary or add a day to see the forest as well
– We could have booked Hobbiton in advance, we would have saved about 30 Dollars!
